The Bodenlegerei in Bad Schallerbach won third place at the Upper Austrian Craftsmanship Award!

We are very proud to have achieved this great recognition among 100 submissions.

In November 2018, in front of 700 invited guests, we had the honor of receiving our prize at the Messehalle. Many thanks for this wonderful and inspiring event! Craftsmanship is truly something special, and it is great to see it being appreciated.

We received the award with our solid wood table “Heinrich”, presented at

Esterházy Palace, Eisenstadt, Burgenland.

TIMELESS ELEGANCE, EVEN IN THE BATHROOM

The solid wood floors of Bodenlegerei Bad Schallerbach, crafted by master floor layer Christian Sterrer, are of course timelessly beautiful even in a bathroom setting. The hand-crafted French herringbone pattern was custom-made according to the client’s wishes.

Beneath the 22 mm thick oak slats lies a waterproof seal, ensuring that no water can penetrate into the substructure.

At our workshop, the customer can select every detail of the herringbone pattern – whether a wider angle of, for example, 25 degrees, or a sharper angle of 50 degrees. The Douglas fir is considered the wood of the future for domestic forests because it grows very quickly, provides highly suitable timber for both indoor and outdoor use, and is also very resistant to pests. In terms of hardness, the Douglas fir is comparable to larch. It has a wonderful scent and works beautifully as flooring together with a matching staircase. Douglas fir from the Black Forest, 20 mm, whitewashed.
